We regret to inform you that ZACR has imposed a R10.00 increase for all CO.ZA, WEB.ZA, ORG.ZA & NET.ZA Domain Registrations and Renewals via the EPP System as of the 1st March 2015.
The price hike comes after ZACR proposed a 3 year Price Increase Plan for .ZA Second Level Domains (SLDs) in August 2014. During the proposal ZA Domains communicated its objection regarding the suggested price hike but sadly our objections fell on deaf ears.
In an effort to reduce the affect that this may have on your business we have made an executive decision to increase our own pricing by only R9.00 and by doing so we believe that we are taking ONE for the team!
We advise all resellers to complete the migration of domain names from Legacy to EPP as soon as possible as the 25% increase imposed on EPP domains come in at a fraction of the cost when compared to the imposed increases announced for Legacy managed domain names.
All legacy domain names will increase to R90 ex vat in 2015, R100 in 2016, R110 in 2017 and so on and so forth for the next five years. – Yup, thats a 100% increase by 2019!
